I just saw a Neocities page with a section about Languages here and I just thought āWhy didnāt I think about that? I also love languagesā. I mean, I literally work with foreign languages, so of course I like them. I have been interested in language since I was a child and I would even read dictionary entries just to learn new words (also because I didnāt have access to a lot of books š). The languages I speak very well are Portuguese (mother language) and English, then I have an intermediate level in German and Spanish. I also learned French in middle school, so I know a few things, but Iāve forgotten a lot. I also lived in Latvia, so I learned a little bit of Latvian and I learned how to read the cyrilic alphabet, as well as some Russian words and expressions. Iāve also had some free Polish classes, but honestly I donāt know anything besides czeÅÄ. There are a few expressions and words I can understand from other European languages, either because I was curious about them, so I decided to learn, or just due to similarity to languages I already know. I can also understand a few spoken expressions in Japanese just from watching anime. Honestly, I wish I had more free time and money to learn foreign languages.
